We couldn’t resist having just a little more fun with the cat.  Lou Reed seems like a fitting name, all things considered.  Also can you tell that we’ve been watching way too much of  The Wire?

I can see where Doc has noble intentions, but he may have been misguided in his methods and execution. To his defense however, that goddamn cat has only been living there a few days and already tried to kill him twice, so you know, whatever.

Also, apparently Dave and I have different ideas of what the cat “mellowing” on Doc’s shoes should mean. Although I didn’t write it into the script (because I’m lazy/a bad writer/need an editor) I assumed that the cat would be peeing, not puking. To Dave’s credit, the final version is much funnier that what I was thinking. Which is nearly always true.

On a completely unrelated and not comedic note, Dave has recently turned me on to my two new favorite (and polar opposite) music acts. Please go check out Hypercrush’s album The Arcade (awesome electropop about cocaine and Sega Genesis) and William Elliott Whitmore’s new album Animals in the Dark (awesome dude with a banjo singing about being a poor farmer and drinking and hating cops). We set forth at the beginning of this week with three goals in mind for the comic. First, was to try to draw the comic digitally from start to finish. I think this went particularly well and will hopefully allow us to bring comics to you more frequently in the future. Second, we wanted to introduce a new character to liven things up a bit. However we didn’t want to detract from Doc and Repo’s screen time, so we gave them this delightful little cat. Trust us, we have lots in store for him. Finally, we wanted to be has horribly insensitive as we possibly could. We think we met all our goals. Time to celebrate.

I too have often found myself in a similar position. I found that I was able to solve my problem with the strategic application of some Febreeze. It should be noted however that if you spray your own ass with air freshener in front of a room of your peers, they will taunt you mercilessly, maybe even for years to come. I mean, you won’t smell anymore, but you just might gain the nickname “Farty-Pants”. Not that I know from experience. I totally don’t. Whoever told you I did was lying. Seriously. For reals.

To be fair, she told him she was an adventurous eater. So if you think about it, this really isn’t his fault.

Starting stereotypes is fun and easy!

Come on, we’ve all had these thoughts at least once. Repo just doesn’t seem to have that filter that keeps you from vocalizing them… or a decent sense of perception apparently.

I absolutely love it when Wikipedia cites itself. I also love it when I’m reading up on politics and end up learning a lesson about both history and grammar. Dave doesn’t find this nearly as interesting.

Neither does anyone else I ever tell about it… ever.
