“Modern Failure” is a webcomic which also features the blog Doctor Awesome’s Guide to American Living. The comic is updated weekly and the blog is updated randomly (pretty much whenever Andy drinks or is bored… so a lot). As we say here at Modern Failure, “Come for the political satire, stay for the dick jokes”.
The Creators:
Head Writer – Andy “Doctor Awesome” Michaels holds a doctorate in Awesomology from the University of Rock N’ Roll. He later received the prestigious Shaman Fellowship and studied under the Great Witch Doctor of Kilimanjaro and is board certified in ass-kicking and obstetrics. Most recently, he was a full-time, unpaid intern on Capitol Hill, but is now unemployed and living with his parents. Oh well.
P.S. Wikipedia says that he is both a Political Satirist and a “Notable Alumni” of Randolph High School. That’s pretty much just because he put it there.
Art Director – Dave “Reverse Politician” Ganjamie is a reclusive, degenerate psychopath and full-time illustrator. Formerly a venture capitalist, Dave’s vast fortune was taken away when he was informed that dryer lint is not a viable form of currency and would not work as capital for any ventures. He survived in the dark for decades on the sparse nutrients contained in that lint, and to this day only sees the sun when drunkenly meandering to the mailbox for his monthly delivery of dirty magazines. In order to fund his debilitating addictions to pornography and drain cleaner, Dave picked up a pencil and started creating wonderful art that has delighted adults and children alike. Also, he writes the hovertext.
